Today Facebook officially announced a partnership with Salesforce. Force.com for Facebook offers application developers an easy way to create Facebook business apps that connect directly to the Force.com tools.
The move takes Facebook one step closer to ruling the world of online business networking. This is great news for busy entrepreneurs, who understand the huge benefits of online social and business networking, but can’t find the time to maintain more then one profile effectively.
In a nutshell, you can expect to see an acceleration in the trend of professionals replacing their LinkedIn accounts with Facebook.

I should also note that many of my clients have expressed great concern about mixing their personal and business contacts on Facebook, which is a valid issue. I don’t want my business contacts to see what my high school buddies are posting on my wall either! What you may not know is that Facebook has fully customizable privacy settings, so you can control exactly what each friend/colleague can or can’t view on your profile.
Stay tuned for more on how to use your privacy options next week…

I’m eager to see what it will give as results. I hate having multiple accounts on differents social networks as I don’t want to leave too much info on the net, so if I can have more possibilities with one account, the better this is. Of course, it’s also more dangerous, since more data is being centralize at the same place. Let’s see what’s gonna happen.
